Exciting Plans for 2025

Jan 21, 2025

2024 What a year!

With Christmas behind us, we are now well into January and planning for 2025 is well underway, but before we tell you all about our plans, we have been reflecting on our achievements in the first year of the project

The Lincolnshire Sleep Hub; supporting sleep with sound and nature. Accessibility for all through recordings, literature, website, podcasts and education. Offering hints and tips to support sleep and wellbeing.

Originally, we set out to host four roadshows, but we exceeded our expectations by delivering 17, engaging directly with over 300 individuals and reaching more than 500 in total. Additionally, we trained 24 Sleep Talkers in the Lincolnshire region, surpassing our initial goal of 20.
Our webinars have been a great success, with four out of six already completed, and the final two scheduled for February 2025. These sessions have continually improved, thanks to the commitment and expertise of Max and Louise, our reliable presenter.
Looking ahead, the momentum we built in 2024 and the fabulous connections, has set a solid foundation for an even more impactful year.

Supporting Adults in Lincolnshire

We are excited about our plans to help you sleep better and improve your wellbeing this year. The focus in 2024 was carers and whilst the carer community is still at the heart of what we do, we will be extending our support to adults in Lincolnshire with learning difficulties and on the autistic spectrum.

Sleep Talker Training

We will be further rolling out our Sleep Talker training, offering both online and in-person sessions through our CPD accredited course, designed to empower professionals and volunteers with tools and resources to start those conversations about sleep. We are also delighted to be working in collaboration to extend the Sleep Talkers training with Macmillan Cancer support and the NHS

Webinars and Podcasts

Sneak preview of podcast recording with Stuart and Lucy from Lumina at Development Plus

Our successful webinar series will continue to be delivered by expert physiotherapist and valued steering group member Louise Rogerson. The final two in the current series offer general tips and advice to improve sleep, will be delivered in February and include experts with a focus on sleep issues due to advance disease and neurological disorders. A further series is planned for later in the year!

Podcasts are something new for 2025 and we are really excited about this one! Working in partnership with SoundLincs Elaine will be hosting the podcasts speaking to experts about how to improve wellbeing to sleep well.

Workshops

We will be building on fabulous connections made in 2024 and running workshops throughout the County offering support and advice; looking at  day-time activity to improve nighttime, giving a whole toolkit to improve both sleep and overall wellbeing.  Our first workshop presentation of 2025 was held at the LNER stadium in partnership with LCCF and their over 55’s community group. A wonderful group to encourage connection and friendship in the area Elaine presented an hour-long session including a quiz, mindfulness, box breathing and lots of giggles too. It was very well received, and everyone enjoyed the session.

Outdoor Wellbeing Events

This summer, we are planning two amazing outdoor wellbeing events. Working with another steering group member Vic Potterton and the team at Green Synergy, we’ll be hosting an outdoor event for members of the local community in the fabulous garden in the heart of the city.
We have more events to plan around Lincolnshire each event will include expert-led mindfulness sessions, art therapy, creative wellbeing, and inspiring talks to support both body and mind. The events will provide a supportive and safe space to unwind.
Don’t be surprised if we throw in the odd sound bath session too with the help of our wonderful friend Peter Ison of Tranquil Awakenings!

Art Therapy and Creative Wellbeing

We’re also bringing art therapy to our workshops and events as part of our holistic approach to wellbeing. Creative activities are a fantastic way to release stress, express yourself, and improve emotional health. We’ll explore how art can help you relax, heal, and boost your mood while encouraging self-expression.

A Year of Growth, Connection, and Support

2025 is going to be a year full of growth, learning, and connection for the Lincolnshire Sleep Hub. We can’t wait to continue supporting adults in Lincolnshire struggling with sleep. With so much in the planning we’re excited to see the positive impact we can make

So, whether you’re joining one of our workshops or webinars, attending one of our events, listening to a podcast, or just reaching out for support, we’d love to have you on this journey with us.

Together, we’ll create a future where everyone has the chance to sleep well and live well.
