WE’RE TALKING SLEEP IN LINCOLNSHIRE
Helping you tolive well||sleep well
The Lincolnshire Sleep Hub is a project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, helping the people of Lincolnshire to sleep well.
Working in, and with, the local communities and the professionals in the area, we will be focusing on wellbeing using nature, sound, evidence-based support and CPD accredited training.
Who can become a Sleep Talker?
We are offering fully funded evidence-based training to volunteers and professionals, who will be trained to recognise sleep problems and able to offer advice on achieving a better night’s sleep. Our third Sleep Talkers community will be aimed at carers.
71% of carers we engaged with felt their role as a carer had an impact on their sleep.
The carers we have spoken to detailed issues faced through poor quality and lack of sleep. This has a serious impact on everyday life, affecting the caring role and everyday activities.
As a Sleep Talker, you will be in contact with carers either through your profession or voluntary position. Once you have trained as a Sleep Talker you will be able to cascade the information to your peers and colleagues facilitating peer support and education to the carers in the county.
Professional carers
Sleep is often an issue for those who care be it a shift worker, regular night or the sheer exhaustion from the job. Having a Sleep Talker in the organisation will ensure that your staff are supported.
