About

The Lincolnshire Sleep Hub, part of The Sleep Charity, is a three-year project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. We will support adults in Lincolnshire with their sleep issues and wellbeing. The project has a specific focus on reaching carers and adults with sleep issues through evidence-based training and peer support.

Meet the team

Elaine Mitchell – Project Officer

Elaine Mitchell

I’m Elaine and I joined The Sleep Charity specifically for this role.  With a background in mental health, wellbeing, holistic services, coaching and training I am looking forward to working on the project and having a positive impact.  It is my job to head up the project creating workshops and training that are engaging, meaningful and above all gets results.

Maxine Gravill – Training & Information Officer

Maxine Gravill

I joined the charity in 2023 and have seen firsthand the difference sleep support can make to people's lives and overall wellbeing. My role in this project is to develop partnerships with other organisations to disseminate the project at scale and support adults and carers in Lincolnshire at high risk of sleep issues, manage the admin and ensure the project stays on track.

Caroline Horton - Independent Adjudicator

Caroline Horton

I’m a Professor of Sleep and Cognition at Bishop Grosseteste University, where I lead the DrEAMSLab. I research cognition during sleep by sampling sleep mentation (dreams) across the night, and I designed the Sleep Well programme, which is being implemented across the country.

I’m also the co-director of the Lincoln Sleep Research Centre, the Treasurer of the British Sleep Society, a Chartered Psychologist, and an advocate of the importance of good quality sleep for all.
